• Choose Select\Load Selection to load selection of foreground pear
• Click on Quick Mask mode and foreground background reset (small black and white boxes)
• Bring up the Brushes palette
• Select and use a brush to edit Mask, switching foreground-background colors to subtract from mask. Exaggerate mask edit and then return to select mode to show effects.
• Load selection #4
• Press Command-U to bring up the Hue-Saturation dialog, then check the preview box and sample the selected pear with the eye dropper Set the Hue to roughly -60, then click OK
• Command-D to de-select
• Use the rubber stamp tool to fix bruise on background Pear (Option-click to sample good spot, then paint over bruise with clone tool.
• Use the Magic wand to select background (be sure to include open spots). Hold shift down to add to selection.
• Save as a new selection (Select\Save Selection) as selection #5
• Open the 3BWINERY.PSD file
• Press Command-A to select all, then Command-C to copy
• Return to 3AFRUIT.PSD
• Load selection #5
• Choose Paste Into from the Edit menu
• Choose the marquee tool, click-drag floating selection down to view skyline.
• Open 3CGOBLET.PSD
• Choose Select\Load selection, then Command-C to copy selection
• Return to 3AFRUIT.PSD and choose Paste Into
• Move wine glass to far right and deselect (Command-D)
• Choose Edit\Composite Controls
• Move floating white point slider to 245 approximately to drop out white background in glass
• (Optional) Option-Click left white slider to split to 222/245, then click OK
• Press Command-D to deselect
• Choose Text tool, Type: Bellevue, Size: 48 pt. Bold
• Type Napa Crest Vineyards, then click OK.
• You now have the word as a floating selection on the image. Do not deselect yet.
• Choose the eyedropper tool
• Sample contrasting foreground/background colors from image by clicking on red apple, then Option-clicking on pear
• Choose the gradient (blend) tool.
• Apply gradient (blend) to type from top to bottom by holding the shift key and click-dragging across the text, then release.
• Choose Edit\Stroke to apply two-pixel outline to the text selection
